DAY 2 ANTANANARIVO - FORT-DAUPHIN
Transfer to the airport, flight to Fort-Dauphin.
Continue to the nature reserve of Berenty . You will see during this trip endemic plants, such as the palms called Neodypsis decaryi.
Finally, experience the so-called thorn forest with its species, the didieraceae, aluaudia and pachypodia.

DAY 3 BERENTY Naturpark
Guided hike
Here you have the opportunity to experience lemurs up close during the day or at night. The park also gives you the opportunity for bird watching and to experience the unique thorn forest.
On your own you can follow the numerous trails in the park in the afternoon to study the plants or observe the lemurs.

DAY 4 BERENTY - FORT-DAUPHIN
Return to Fort-Dauphin
Drive past Andohaela National Park, another scenic and botanical sensation.

DAY 5 FORT-DAUPHIN - TULEAR
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Tuléar.Visit to the arboretum of Antsokay.

DAY 6 TULEAR - RANOHIRA
Continue to Ranohira after breakfast, this delightful drive opens up more great scenery.
You will see the big baobab tree and the impressive Mahafaly tombs on the way.

DAY 7 ISALO MOUNTAINS
Morning guided hike in the Isalo Mountains.
Rare plants characterize this park.
Aloes and the small baobabs, the so-called elephant feet.
An easy hike takes us to the pool, a natural freshwater pool.
In the afternoon we will walk through the gorges, depending on our mood.
Rest of the day at leisure to explore the interesting surroundings.

DAY 8 RANOHIRA - RANOMAFANA
Continue to Ranomafana via Fianarantsoa.
Drive through the Horombe Plateau along the Betsileo Land.
In the late afternoon you will reach the town of Ranomafana, on the Namorona River.

DAY 9 RANOMAFANA Nationalpark
Expedition in Ranomafana National Park
Here naturalists rediscovered the golden bamboo lemur in 1989.
You will be thrilled by the impressive rainforest experience.
Depending on the season, you can also admire orchids here.

DAY 10 RANOMAFANA - ANTSIRABE
After breakfast, drive to Antsirabe.
We continue our journey across the high plateau, passing by beautifully laid out rice terraces. Visit of the inlay work in Ambositra
In the afternoon the drive leads through pine and eucalyptus forests

DAY 11 ANTSIRABE – ANTANANARIVO
In the morning visit of the semi-precious stone cutting factory followed by a tour of the town. Then continue to Tana through the highland area, passing rice terraces and fruit fields.

DAY 12 ANTANANARIVO - PERINET
After breakfast we continue by car towards the east….
The Perinet Special Reserve is located in the middle of an extensive rainforest area, about 145 km from Tana and is accessible by a good road. It is a paradise for botanists and ornithologists.
Depending on your mood, you can go on a night hike.

DAY 13 PERINET, MANTADIA
After the leisurely breakfast drive to Mantadia Reserve.
Here is also a part of Perinet nature reserve and also hosts interesting fauna and flora. In the afternoon you will also visit the island of lemurs.

DAY 14 PERINET – TANA
Another hike in the Indri Reserve.
The speciality of this reserve of Perinet is the Indri-Indri, the largest species of all lemurs. Around noon we continue our journey back to Tana.

DAY 15 TANA – MAROANTSETRA
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Maroantsetra.
The city is located on the east coast and is home to the largest national park on the island.
Here the rainforest and the sea meet.

DAY 16 MAROANTSETRA – MASOALA
Transfer to the landing place. Crossing to the Masoala Peninsula.
The Masoala Peninsula is home to one of Madagascar’s youngest and largest national parks and three marine reserves that ensure the preservation of this last paradise.

DAY 17 MASOALA NATIONALPARK
Guided hike. The National Park offers guests much more ; from rainforest to coral reefs. Besides guided walks in the forest, where you can discover birds and other wild animals by day or by night, we recommend other visits in the interesting surroundings, if the weather is nice.

DAY 18 MASOALA Aufenthalt
Masoala Forest Lodges near Tampolo is located in a small clearing between golden sandy beach and dense rainforest and offers luxury accommodation in tents with all inclusive, rustic style at the most beautiful corner of the peninsula. On this day you can still make excursions by boat, kayak or simply on foot.

DAY 19 MASOALA – MAROANTSETRA
Return by boat to Maroantsetra
Transfer to the airport and return flight to Tana or
Overnight stay at RELAIS MASOALA, depending on flight schedule.
DAY 20 TANA – PARIS
Transfer to the airport.
