TSINGY OF BEMARAHA
We arrive at the town of Bekopaka (southern park gate) from Morondava or after the travel downriver of TheTsiribihina (in the north of Morondava).
The region is characterized by 2 different seasons: the rainy season from November to April and the dry season from May to the beginning of November. Bekopaka is the gateway to the Tsingy.
Since 1991, it was a world heritage of the UNESCO and was declared national Park in 1997.
This is a geological wonderland: a limestone mountain created by the wind and the weather, offering one of the most spectacular landscapes on the island.
You are trekking all day long with a guide, subject matter expert.
There are many ways to visit this park, passing by canyons to another one, or passing between the Limestone Mountains. We explore the vegetation of the particular humid zones in the deep canyons, and the dry forest in the highlands.
The park is an interesting land formation, where the lemurs, the land and aquatic birds, the bats, the amphibians, the reptiles, the mammals and the indigenous flora of more than 650 vegetal species are listed
