Madagascar Wonderfull

Day 1 ANTANANARIVO, the capital 


The starting point of our trip is Antananarivo city, commonly called Tana.
Arrival in Tana, meet and welcome at the airport 

Transfer to the hotel.

Day 2 TANA – PERINET, the rainforest area 


After breakfast, we drive towards Perinet. The drive will last about 3 hours. Rice fields and vegetables farming form the first part of the landscape. Perinet is known as the home of lemurs. One species of them is called Indri, the largest lemur and they are endemic to Madagascar. The fauna and flora give fame to the East part of Madagascar.

Day 3 PERINET and surrounding

You will visit the rain forest at dawn, which is the best time to spot the largest of lemurs, the Indri, and some species of birds as well. In fact, Perinet is the most visited protected area in Madagascar, and remains one of the best places for bird watching. Nocturnal wildlife also is interesting over there, such as frogs, lemurs and chameleons. In the afternoon time, you can pay a visit of the island of lemurs at Vakona.

Day 4 PERINET – ANTSIRABE

After breakfast, drive to Antsirabe, the town famous for its 3000 rickshaw drivers and also for its semi-precious stones. You across the highland landscape with its beautiful rice terraces.
We stop in Ambatolampy to discover how local people make the aluminum cooking-pot.
In the surroundings there are volcanic lakes and thermal springs.

Day 5 ANTSIRABE – RANOMAFANA

Drive to Ranomafana. Stop in Ambositra, then visit of the Zafimaniry woodcarving. Ranomafana, a small old thermal place, situated at 62km from Fianarantsoa, very famous for its natural reserve within a big national park, preserved and still savage, wherein several endemic species of lemurs live.

Day 6 RANOMAFANA National Park

We hike along the trails of the rainforest. We can enjoy some spectacular rainforest experiences. The area is characterized by a mountain range covered by primary forest and offers a beautiful sight. With any luck, we can see the golden bamboo lemur. The park hosts many endemic birds and other species of lemurs, such as the Fulvus lemur.
Depending on the season, you can also spot orchids in Ranomafana.

Day 7 RANOMAFANA – FIANARANTSOA – RANOHIRA

We continue to the South through Fianarantsoa, the academic and intellectual centre of Madagascar, and lies at the heart of the country’s most productive agricultural region. It is Madagascar’s leading-wine-producing region. Stop at Ambalavao, a small village, it is the end of the limit of the highland before getting to the South part. We visit the famous Antaimoro paper workshop and Anja Park where we can spot the ring-tailed lemur. Afterwards, drive through the Horombe plateau and reach Ranohira.

Day 8 ISALO Mountain 


Ranohira, situated between the massif of Isalo and the Horombe Plateau.
This is the starting point of all Expedition to the National Park of Isalo. An easy trek takes us to an amazing landscape towards the natural swimming pool. It is possible to take walk and to explore the surrounding mountains summit to enjoy the sight.

Day 9 RANOHIRA – TULEAR

Drive to Tuléar after breakfast. You will see on the way the biggest baobab and the Mahafaly tombs. Tuléar is the city of fishermen, very interesting for shell shopping and relax. On the way, discovering the Deep South with its mysterious typical tombs, strange vegetation like Baobab and the spiny forest.

Day 10 TULEAR – TANA

Transfer to the airport.

Flight back to Tana.
