

The east, the rainforest area allows visitors to experience intense nature. PERINET , with an area of 810 ha and up to 1000m high and was established as a sanctuary for the largest lemur INDRI INDRI.
This posh lemur is most famous for its song in the early morning.
MAROANTSETRA
is also one of the most important cities in the east. The city is located on the east coast and is home to the largest national park on the island. Here the rainforest and the sea meet . The Masoala Peninsula hosts one of Madagascar’s youngest and largest national parks and three marine reserves that ensure the preservation of this last paradise
CHANNEL OF PANGALANES
Parallel to the east coast runs the channel of Pangalane on 450 long.
It is possible to navigate a part of the channel. Fishermen and traders have settled there.
Today, goods such as bananas, coffee, spices can be safely transported away from the stormy sea, the most important port city on the east coast.
The city is also the main growing area of delicious lychees, because of the warm and humid
climate.
Worth seeing here is also the market, where you can buy spices of all kinds.
